Early morning pickup from your Hotel in Cusco between 04:00 am to 4:15 am with a drive of approximately 3 hours in private transport to Quesiuno located at 4,320 (masl) (this is where we will start our trek). Breakfast will be provided once we arrive to Quesiuno.

We start our hike from 4200 m climbing right up to 5100 masl near the peaks of RAINBOW MOUNTAIN aka: (Cerro Colorado, Montaña de Colores or “Vinicunca”). Lead by our expert guide, here we can see the stunning colors that are natural formations of minerals that have evolved to the stunning colors we see today, from centuries of formation. Beautiful views of red, yellow and green, the colors of the mountains, the streams, the herds of alpacas and llamas, and the spectacular south side of Ausangate mountain ranges. This is a photographers dream, capturing the vibrant colors of the earth and sky. On our way we will hike through small traditional Andean villages, and see many of the local people with their colorful and traditional dresses.

After a total hike of approximately 3-4 hours, we will finally reach the mirador spot, from here we can witness the impressive views of Rainbow Mountains located at 5,100 masl. Here we will have time to explore the area, time to rest, and time to enjoy our packed lunch. We will spend approximately 30-45 minutes at the top, which gives you plenty of time to take pictures and soak in the environment. Once finished we will start our decent, returning back down the hiking trail from where we came. The hike will take approximately 3 hours.

Our private van will be waiting for us when we return. From here it will be approximately a 3 hour drive back to Cusco where we will drop you off at your Cusco hotel. Approximate arrival time is between 7 and 8 pm.
