Live with a Peruvian family in their house and learn about chocolate, cacao, coffee and tea!
This tour gives you the chance to experience unique moments with local producers and their families.
The Peruvian producers will teach you everything about organic production and the cocoa, coffee, tea and other plants with the “Fair trade” seal.
Day 1
8:00 am: Private transportation from your hotel to Huayopata (house and land of Doña Julia).
12:30 pm: fresh fruit juice splash on the property of Julia.
1:00 pm: Lunch (Typical seasonal food of the region).
2:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Activities on the property. Depending on the season, you will:
* Visit the tea plantations and the factory.
* Visit coffee plantations and learn more about the process of making coffee.
* Discover and try exotic fruits in season.
5:30 pm: Family Moments with Julia. If you wish you can help to cook. Just ask Julia.
6:00 pm: Dinner and evening with the Julia’s family.
8:00 pm: With Julia and her husband, learn how to peel, roast and ground coffee. Prepare the coffee you will enjoy the next morning at breakfast.
9:00 pm: Night at the estate of Julia in rooms with private bathrooms and hot water.
Day 2
7:30 am: Breakfast with exceptional coffee.
8:00 am: Transportation (private) to Maranura (on the farm of Doña Rosa).
9:00 am: Activities:
* Discovering the cacao tree and its fruit.
* Learning about the harvest, the fermentation and the drying of cocoa beans.
* Toast and ground cacao beans.
* Preparing a hot chocolate with cocoa freshly grounded.
12:00: Transportation (private) to Santa Maria.
12:30 pm: Lunch in Santa Maria (Menu of the day).
Delight with the beautiful landscapes along the way!
1:30 pm (Option with private transportation): Transport to your hotel in Cusco. Arrival around 6pm.
Enjoy unforgettable landscapes during your way!
1:00 pm: Transportation (private) to hydropower.
3:00 pm: You have two options: Walking (2h30) from the Hydroelectric plant to Aguas Calientes beneath the railway or take the train.
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Arrival at your hotel in Aguas Calientes (standard room with private bath and hot water).
7:00 pm: Dinner in Aguas Calientes (not included).

The hike of 2-3 hours from Hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes is a nice flat nature hike near Machu Picchu.
You will be walking on a road near the rails of the train and the river. The landscapes are unforgettable!
Day 3
If you choose to end your tour visiting Machupicchu, your last day will include:
5:45 am: Continental breakfast at your hotel.
6:15 am: Transportation (bus) to Machu Picchu. You can choose to walk (2h) to Machupicchu – in this case you have to leave the hotel at 4:30 am.
6:45 am: Guided tour of Machu Picchu.
9:45 am: Free time at Machupicchu. You may climb up to Huayna Picchu (extra payment and early booking required) at 7:00 am or 10:00 am.
12:30 pm: Transportation (bus) from Machupicchu to Aguas Calientes.
1:00 pm: Lunch in Aguas Calientes (not included).
2:55 pm: Transportation from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo. Sometimes the train at that time is not available and we have to add an extra fee to book another train at another time.
4:30 pm: Transport (public) from Ollantaytambo to the bus station in Cusco.
6:15 pm: Transportation (taxi) from the bus station to your hotel
